Tasting Notes – el Grano

Name: el Grano
Producer: Denis Duveau (a French winemaker, who has relocated to Chile)
Region: Central Valley, Chile
Grape Varieties: Grape
Overall Rating:  ★★★
Pairing:  Truffle and parmesan roasted vegetables.  This is easy drinking and would be fine on its own.  However, the salty, truffle-y roasted veggies were complimented by the fruit and acidity of this lovely red.



Color:  Dark Purple and inky

Brightness: Dull
Intensity: Moderate
Age: Youthful
Scent: Blackberry and cherry

Dry/Sweet: Dry
Body: Medium
Acidity: Fresh/Smooth
Tannin: Low
Flavors: Very berry, but also currants and a touch of tartness
Finish: Medium (4-5 sec)
